I’m a big fan of the British Library Women Writers series, which brings back into print a range of novels by both known and unknown women writers, primarily from the inter-war years.
In our chat, Simon tells me about how he first came to collaborate with the British Library and which is his favourite book from the Women Writers series to date. He also shares which books people new to the series should start with first and the book he wishes he could see back in print. We also talk about the latest seasonal anthology, Stories for Winter and Nights by the Fire and the short stories we each liked best from this collection.
I hope you enjoy pouring a cup of tea and getting cosy as you listen to our conversation, and that this discussion may inspire some of your winter reading.
